Previous Radio stations

Jeremy started his professional radio career in 1989 when he joined Signal Radio in Stoke on Trent as the station's broadcast assistant. He had previously worked at AA Roadwatch in Manchester. His main role was to support the two breakfast show presenters - John Evington on Signal Cheshire and Terry Underhill on Signal Radio. He then moved to KFM Radio in Stockport when Signal Radio took it over in 1990.

In the Autumn of 1990, he thought he ought to get some education! Whilst at University in Leeds, Jeremy worked for BBC Radio Leeds, Pennine FM/The Pulse and Radio Aire FM at the same time, presenting regular weekend slots and also standing for other colleagues.

When Lincs FM opened in March 1992, Jeremy was delighted to work in his home county of Lincolnshire. He was a relief presenter to begin with whilst at university, before joining full time on the day he stopped being a student! He became the teatime presenter, on air from 5 - 9pm each day.

Jeremy left Lincs FM to go north over the River Humber to join the presentation team of BBC Radio Humberside. He initially did the Afternoon Show, before moving to the Morning Show in the summer of 1996. He then went off to Radio 4's You & Yours programme for a while to work as programme producer, before returning to host the teatime news (4 - 7pm).

The South West was beckoning for Jeremy in Autumn 1998 when he left to join BBC Radio Cornwall as a member of the South West Newsgathering Team.

Jeremy then joined Radio Devon as Head of Programmes in 1999. He was responsible for guiding the station through the Eclipse on August 11th 1999, and planning whole coverage. He also had to plan the coverage of the arrival of the millennium at the end of the year.

Next was BBC Radio Sheffield where Jeremy took a stint as Head of Programmes. Then he took on the project to launch the new BBC South Yorkshire website, which went live on October 18th 2001 - the day before his daughter Molly was born! The site quickly established itself, and was given the ultimate accolade of being named "BT Northern Website of the Year 2001" in May 2002, and then "National BT Website of the Year 2001" in June 2002. Jeremy also launched the new Open Centre where people could learn computer skills and surf the net for free inside the BBC building.

Jeremy returned to BBC Radio Humberside in March 2002 to launch the new BBC Bus, and then became the Head of Programmes.

In 2005, Jeremy then took over the management of the Big Screen project in Hull. He has since taken on the management of the North East and North West.
